Get to Know Me and The Educational Psychology Services Offered
What I offer
I am able to provide a range of psychological services for young people aged 0-19 and their families, including:

Consultation, advice and guidance

Direct assessment, including cognitive assessments and exam access testing

School observations and intervention

Individual therapeutic support

Attendance and advocacy at meetings

Psychological report writing, including tribunal reports and support towards Education,
Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments
What I won’t do is administer a generic, one-size-fits-all assessment that are often time-consuming, costly, and generally tell you very little of any value about your child.
Instead, I offer a bespoke and personalised service, tailored to your particular requirements and priorities, and the specific needs of your child, and designed to promote positive and meaningful change.
ABOUT ME
Dr Rob Begon (BSc, DEdCPsy)
Educational Psychologist
I completed my doctoral training at the University of Sheffield in 2016, since which time I have been working as a practicing Educational Psychologist in a range of local authority settings. More recently, I have returned to the University of Sheffield as a tutor on the training programme which I do alongside my professional practice.
All the work I do is motivated by a passion for empowerment and equality for all young people and families, and working independently gives me the freedom to be able to achieve this.
Outside of work, I'm an enthusiast of the great outdoors and love nothing more than exploring the Yorkshire countryside with my wife, baby boy and cocker spaniel (my other baby boy)!
I am registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC), am a member of the Association of Educational Psychologists (AEP), and am fully DBS checked.
